Traditionally in India these bowls were used for mixing and are called "Parat". Nowadays in India they are used for various purposes like cooking, washing vegetables and carrying various things. These hand-carved bowls are very functional and can serve a variety of purposes, such as fruit bowls, decorations, candles or simply as a centerpiece on a table.
